It began in a pet-store aisle, staring at a wall of forty near-identical bags. Every one promised “premium,” “natural,” and “vet-recommended.” None of them explained the one thing we actually wanted to know: which is right for my dog, and how much do I really need?

So we did the homework ourselves — reading ingredient panels, learning how to spot a vague “meat by-product” from a named, real protein, and figuring out the simple feeding math vets actually use. The more we learned, the clearer it became that most dog owners aren't short on options. They're short on honest guidance.

Hound's Hearth is the advisor we wished we'd had. What we believe
